| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 29 | 29 | | 1 Chapter 111 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 228 the |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 2following section:- |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3 Section 228A. (a) No health care provider shall charge a patient for non-medical |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4expenses related to prevention of disease, including but not limited to: (1) personal protective |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5equipment worn by a health care provider during a medical procedure or in-person visit and (2) |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6increased cleaning and sterilization costs. |

| 35 | 35 | | 7 (b) The department shall promulgate regulations to implement this section. |
