An Act to update the prescription monitoring program.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 The second paragraph of subsection (c) of section 24A of chapter 94C of the General 
2Laws, as amended by section 41 of chapter 208 of the acts of 2018, is hereby further amended by 
3adding the following sentence:- A registered participant required to utilize the prescription 
4monitoring program prior to issuing a prescription under this subsection or regulations 
5promulgated pursuant to this subsection who does not utilize such program as so required shall 
6be fined in an amount to be set by the department in regulations promulgated pursuant to this 
7subsection.
