2828 An Act permitting ambulances to transport patients to urgent care centers.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. Section 2 of Chapter 111C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
3232 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following new paragraph:-
3333 3 (17) in situations determined as non-emergency, permit the transportation of patients
3434 4directly to a clinic, as defined in section 52 of chapter 111, including an urgent care center,
3535 5instead of an emergency department.
