The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act correcting credible service in the retirement system for elected officials. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Chapter 32, section4(2)(c) of the General Laws as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition 2is hereby amended by adding in line 3 after the word “Part-time,” the word “elected,”; 3 And further, by adding in line 5 after the word “Membership” the following words “or in 4the case of an elected official, did not exercise his right to become a retirement system member,”
