Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Section 2 of chapter 60B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "forty" in line 61 the following 3sentence:- 4 A city or town may change the per cent of said excise that is credited to its municipal 5waterways improvement and maintenance fund by a vote of its legislative body; provided, 6however, that a legislative body shall not decrease the excise credited to its municipal waterways 7improvement and maintenance fund below fifty per cent.
