| 29 | 29 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

| 31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 1. (a) There is hereby established and set up on the books of the |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 2commonwealth a separate fund to be known as the 250th American Revolution Anniversary |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 3Public Safety and Operations Fund, in this section called the fund. The comptroller shall transfer |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 4to the fund an amount no greater than $1,000,000 from the Federal COVID-19 Response Fund |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 5established in section 2JJJJJ of chapter 29 of the Massachusetts General Laws, to provide |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 6support for the municipalities of Lexington and Concord for state- and federal-level security |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 7protections and operational support pertaining to the extensive commemorative events of the |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 8250th American Revolution Anniversary to occur throughout 2025-2026. |

| 39 | 39 | | 9 (b) Amounts credited to the fund shall not be subject to further appropriation and money |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 10remaining in the fund at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the General Fund and shall be 2 of 2 |

| 41 | 41 | | 11available for expenditure in the subsequent fiscal year. The fund will expire on December 31st, |
