By Representatives Ciccolo of Lexington and Cataldo of Concord, a petition (accompanied by 
bill, House, No. 3242) of Michelle L. Ciccolo and Simon Cataldo for legislation to create the 
American Revolution anniversary public safety and operations fund to support the towns of 
Lexington and Concord for security protections and operational support for the years 2025 and 
2026. Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development.

An Act to create the American Revolution anniversary public safety and operations fund.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. (a) There is hereby established and set up on the books of the 
2commonwealth a separate fund to be known as the 250th American Revolution Anniversary 
3Public Safety and Operations Fund, in this section called the fund. The comptroller shall transfer 
4to the fund an amount no greater than $1,000,000 from the Federal COVID-19 Response Fund 
5established in section 2JJJJJ of chapter 29 of the Massachusetts General Laws, to provide 
6support for the municipalities of Lexington and Concord for state- and federal-level security 
7protections and operational support pertaining to the extensive commemorative events of the 
8250th American Revolution Anniversary to occur throughout 2025-2026.
9 (b) Amounts credited to the fund shall not be subject to further appropriation and money 
10remaining in the fund at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the General Fund and shall be  2 of 2
11available for expenditure in the subsequent fiscal year. The fund will expire on December 31st, 
122026, and all remaining credits shall be remitted to the General Fund.
