2626 An Act relative to out of state citations.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 SECTION 1. Section 1 of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
3030 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the definition of “Bus or motor bus” the
3131 3following new definition:- “Careless driving”, a person who drives a vehicle carelessly, or
3232 4without due caution and circumspection, in a manner so as to endanger, or be likely to endanger,
3333 5a person or property.
3434 6 SECTION 2. Said chapter is hereby amended by adding the following new section at the
3535 7end thereof:-
3636 8 Section 64: Citation Parity
3737 9 The registrar shall provide parity with out of state citations processed in Massachusetts
3838 10including, but not limited to, careless driving citations, speeding citations, and expired
3939 11registration citations.
