| 29 | 29 | | 1 SECTION 1. Chapter 407 of the Act of 2022 is hereby amended by inserting after |

| 30 | 30 | | 2subsection (c) the following new subsection:- |

| 31 | 31 | | 3 (d) subsection (b) shall not apply to purchases from persons with a business registered |

| 32 | 32 | | 4with the secretary of state that are regularly engaged in the business of manufacturing catalytic |

| 33 | 33 | | 5converters or vehicles, or that are regularly engaged in the business of generating detached used |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6catalytic converters in the ordinary course of the seller's business. For these purchases the buyer |

| 35 | 35 | | 7will be required to capture and retain the date, time, quantity of convertors and documentation of |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 8being in the licensed business. |
