Transportation. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act relative to business transactions. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Chapter 407 of the Act of 2022 is hereby amended by inserting after 2subsection (c) the following new subsection:- 3 (d) subsection (b) shall not apply to purchases from persons with a business registered 4with the secretary of state that are regularly engaged in the business of manufacturing catalytic 5converters or vehicles, or that are regularly engaged in the business of generating detached used 6catalytic converters in the ordinary course of the seller's business. For these purchases the buyer 7will be required to capture and retain the date, time, quantity of convertors and documentation of 8being in the licensed business.
