26 | 26 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
---|
27 | 27 | | of the same, as follows: |
---|
28 | 28 | | 1 SECTION 1. The Massachusetts Port Authority shall commission a study of the |
---|
29 | 29 | | 2regulation of airlines doing business in the commonwealth. The study shall examine the possible |
---|
30 | 30 | | 3legal implications of imposing certain regulations on airlines, including, but not limited to, |
---|
31 | 31 | | 4requiring airlines to provide lodging, new flights or other compensation to customers in the event |
---|
32 | 32 | | 5of a flight’s cancellation. |
---|
33 | 33 | | 6 SECTION 2. The Massachusetts Port Authority shall file a report, including its findings |
---|
34 | 34 | | 7on the possible legal implications of imposing regulations on airlines doing business in the |
---|
35 | 35 | | 8commonwealth, with the clerks of the house of representatives and the senate and the joint |
---|
36 | 36 | | 9committee on transportation no later than January 1, 2025. |
---|
