2525 An Act relative to uniformity of ballots in polling places.
2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2727 of the same, as follows:
2828 1 Section 44 of chapter 54 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition,
2929 2is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
3030 3 Ballots shall be uniform in size, material and content for all voters in a polling place,
3131 4regardless of whether the ballot is voted on a ballot-marking device or directly on a paper ballot.
3232 5Ballots shall be tabulated directly from the voter-marked selections and not from a barcode, QR
3333 6code or other representation not marked by the voter, either on a ballot-marking device or
3434 7directly on paper.
