2626 An Act relative to dental hygienist reciprocal licensure.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 Section 51 of chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition,
3030 2is hereby amended by inserting after the third paragraph, the following paragraph:-
3131 3 The board may, without examination upon payment of a fee determined annually by the
3232 4commissioner of administration under the provision of section three B of chapter seven, register
3333 5and issue a dental hygienist license to a dentist who has been lawfully in practice for at least five
3434 6years in another state, country, or province if he presents to the board a certificate of registration
3535 7and duration of practice from an out-of-state board of dental examiners or other like registration
3636 8entity of such state, country, or province; provided, that such other jurisdiction shall require a
3737 9degree of competency as determined by the board equal to that required of applicants in this
3838 10commonwealth.
