An Act relative to dental hygienist reciprocal licensure.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Section 51 of chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, 
2is hereby amended by inserting after the third paragraph, the following paragraph:-
3 The board may, without examination upon payment of a fee determined annually by the 
4commissioner of administration under the provision of section three B of chapter seven, register 
5and issue a dental hygienist license to a dentist who has been lawfully in practice for at least five 
6years in another state, country, or province if he presents to the board a certificate of registration 
7and duration of practice from an out-of-state board of dental examiners or other like registration 
8entity of such state, country, or province; provided, that such other jurisdiction shall require a 
9degree of competency as determined by the board equal to that required of applicants in this 
10commonwealth.
