31 | 31 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
---|
32 | 32 | | of the same, as follows: |
---|
33 | 33 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws or any |
---|
34 | 34 | | 2other general or special law to the contrary, the licensing authority of the town of Chatham may |
---|
35 | 35 | | 3grant an additional license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises, |
---|
36 | 36 | | 4under section 12 of said chapter 138, at Pate’s Restaurant located at 1260 Main Street. The |
---|
37 | 37 | | 5license shall be subject to all provisions of said chapter 138, except said section 17. |
---|
38 | 38 | | 6 The licensing authority shall not approve the transfer of the license to any other location, |
---|
39 | 39 | | 7but it may grant the license to a new applicant at the same location if the applicant files with the |
---|
40 | 40 | | 8licensing authority a letter from the department of revenue indicating that the license if in good |
---|
41 | 41 | | 9standing with the department and that all applicable taxes have been paid. 2 of 2 |

42 | 42 | | 10 If the license granted under this act is cancelled, revoked or no longer in use, it shall be |
---|
43 | 43 | | 11returned physically, with all legal rights, privileges and restrictions pertaining thereto, to the |
---|
44 | 44 | | 12licensing authority and the licensing authority may then grant the license to a new applicant at |
---|
45 | 45 | | 13the same location under the same conditions as specified in this act. |
---|
46 | 46 | | 14 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. |
