2929 An Act granting an additional liquor license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on
3030 the premises in the town of Chatham.
3131 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3232 of the same, as follows:
3333 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws or any
3434 2other general or special law to the contrary, the licensing authority of the town of Chatham may
3535 3grant an additional license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises,
3636 4under section 12 of said chapter 138, at Pate’s Restaurant located at 1260 Main Street. The
3737 5license shall be subject to all provisions of said chapter 138, except said section 17.
3838 6 The licensing authority shall not approve the transfer of the license to any other location,
3939 7but it may grant the license to a new applicant at the same location if the applicant files with the
4040 8licensing authority a letter from the department of revenue indicating that the license if in good
4141 9standing with the department and that all applicable taxes have been paid. 2 of 2
4242 10 If the license granted under this act is cancelled, revoked or no longer in use, it shall be
4343 11returned physically, with all legal rights, privileges and restrictions pertaining thereto, to the
4444 12licensing authority and the licensing authority may then grant the license to a new applicant at
4545 13the same location under the same conditions as specified in this act.
4646 14 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
