2626 An Act to limit fees charged in a rental real estate transaction.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 Section 87DDD½ of chapter 112, of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the
3030 2following sentence:- No licensed broker or salesperson shall charge a tenant a fee for services
3131 3relating to finding a dwelling accommodation or for any other service unless the tenant has
3232 4sought out and hired that broker or salesperson to provide the tenant with such services.
