[Local Approval Received.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act authorizing certain investments by the treasurer of the town of Norton. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the treasurer of 2the Town of Norton is hereby authorized to invest any trust funds of the town in the custody of 3the treasurer in accordance with the Prudent Investor Rule and sections 3, 4, 5, 8, and 9 of 4chapter 203C of the General Laws and in accordance with the Town of Norton cash and 5investment policy, as the same may be amended by the Town of Norton, acting by and through 6the Select Board, from time to time. 7 SECTION 2. Section 54 of chapter 44 of the General Laws shall not apply to the Town of 8Norton. 9 SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
