An Act authorizing the town of Hopkinton to take by eminent domain certain easements in the 
town of Milford for the repair and maintenance of the Lake Maspenock Dam.

By Representative Arena-DeRosa of Holliston, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 
4045) of James C. Arena-DeRosa (by vote of the town) for legislation to authorize the town of 
Hopkinton to acquire certain land in the town of Milford by eminent domain for the repair and 
maintenance of the Lake Maspenock dam.  The Judiciary. [Local Approval Received.]

An Act authorizing the town of Hopkinton to take by eminent domain certain easements in the 
town of Milford for the repair and maintenance of the Lake Maspenock Dam.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. The Town of Hopkinton may take and hold, by and subject to the 
2provisions of Chapter 79 of the General Laws, certain easements on land situated in the Town of 
3Milford, described with particularity in the following 	Section 2, that are necessary for the repair 
4and maintenance of the Lake Maspenock Dam, acquired by the Town of Hopkinton from the 
5Milford Water Company, a statutory corporation incorporated pursuant to Chapter 77 of the Acts 
6of 1881.
7 SECTION 2. The Town of Hopkinton may take and hold permanent and temporary 
8easements on the land in the Town of Milford, situated off Pine Island Road, and identified, at 
9the time of this act's passage, as Milford Assessors' Parcels numbered 10-0-3, 10-0-4, and 10-0-
105.
11 SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
