2727 An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Paul O'Brien, an employee of the Trial Court of the
2828 Commonwealth.
2929 Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to
3030 establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the trial court of the
3131 commonwealth, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the
3232 immediate preservation of the public convenience.
3333 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3434 of the same, as follows:
3535 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the trial court of the
3636 2commonwealth shall establish a sick leave bank for Paul O’Brien, an employee of the trial court.
3737 3Any employee of the trial court may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation
3838 4days to the sick leave bank for use by Paul O’Brien. If Paul O’Brien terminates employment with
3939 5the trial court or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any remaining time in the sick leave
4040 6bank shall be transferred to the trial court paid leave bank. Sick leave bank days shall not be used
4141 7for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick
4242 8leave bank as determined by the trial court.
