| 11 | 11 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority | |
| 12 | 12 | of the same, as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the | |
| 14 | 14 | 2contrary, the teachers’ retirement system shall credit Abby Levin, a member of the teachers’ | |
| 15 | 15 | 3retirement system, with creditable service for the service she rendered at the Northampton Center | |
| 16 | 16 | 4for Children and Families for the period of September 1, 1979 to September 1, 1980, inclusive, | |
| 17 | 17 | 5for the purpose of determining her superannuation retirement allowance pursuant to paragraph | |
| 18 | 18 | 6(a) of subdivision (2) of section 5 of chapter 32 of the General Laws. Before the date that any | |
| 19 | 19 | 7retirement allowance becomes effective for Abby Levin, she shall pay into the annuity savings | |
| 20 | 20 | 8fund of the teachers’ retirement system in 1 sum or installments, upon such terms and conditions | |
| 21 | 21 | 9as the teachers’ retirement board may prescribe, an amount equal to that which would have been | |
| 22 | 22 | 10withheld as regular deductions from her regular compensation for such previous service, plus | |
| 23 | 23 | 11buyback interest. | |
| 24 | 24 | 12 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. |
