2020 An Act authorizing the town of Chesterfield to continue the employment of reserve special
2121 police officer Greg Smith.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2323 of the same, as follows:
2424 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Greg Smith, a
2525 2member of the Chesterfield police department, may continue to serve as a reserve special police
2626 3officer until he reaches 70 years of age or the date of his retirement or until his non-
2727 4reappointment, whichever occurs first, and no further deductions shall be made from the regular
2828 5compensation of Greg Smith in connection with his service to the town for retirement or pension
2929 6purposes pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to Greg Smith
3030 7reaching the age of 65.
3131 8 SECTION 2: Notwithstanding section 1, Greg Smith shall be subject to chapter 6E of
3232 9General Laws and section 96B of chapter 41 of the General Laws for the duration of his
3333 10employment pursuant to this act.
3434 11 SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
