| 22 | 22 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 24 | 24 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Greg Smith, a |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | 2member of the Chesterfield police department, may continue to serve as a reserve special police |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | 3officer until he reaches 70 years of age or the date of his retirement or until his non- |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | 4reappointment, whichever occurs first, and no further deductions shall be made from the regular |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | 5compensation of Greg Smith in connection with his service to the town for retirement or pension |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 6purposes pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to Greg Smith |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 7reaching the age of 65. |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 8 SECTION 2: Notwithstanding section 1, Greg Smith shall be subject to chapter 6E of |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 9General Laws and section 96B of chapter 41 of the General Laws for the duration of his |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 10employment pursuant to this act. |

| 34 | 34 | | 11 SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage. |
