2626 An Act relative to the Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical high school.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 An Act relative to the Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical high school.
3030 2 SECTION 1. Chapter 330 of the acts of 1960 is hereby amended by striking out section 4
3131 3and inserting in place thereof the following section:-
3232 4 Section 4. Notwithstanding section 3 of chapter 40 of the General Laws, section 14C of
3333 5chapter 71 of the General Laws and any other general or special law to the contrary, the
3434 6agreement made under section 3 of this act, or any amendment to such an agreement, may
3535 7contain provisions authorizing any member municipality to sell, lease or grant a license to use
3636 8any building and any land appurtenant thereto or used in connection therewith to the regional
3737 9school district, and any such municipality may authorize such sale, lease or license accordingly.
3838 10In case of a sale, the price and time or times of payment and the method by which the
3939 11municipalities other than the selling municipality shall be assessed for such payment shall be set
4040 12forth in the agreement or amendment; but in no case shall payments be made which shall extend 2 of 2
4141 13over a period in excess of 20 years. In the case of a lease or license to use the rental or license fee
4242 14and terms of payment and assessment shall be set forth in the agreement or amendment. The
4343 15lease or license to use may be for a term or period not in excess of 20 years, and may contain
4444 16provisions for the extension of the lease or license to use for an additional term or period not in
4545 17excess of 20 years, at the option of the regional district school committee.
4646 18 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
