2828 An Act relative to extending the period of the service of the current police chief in the town of
2929 Leicester.
3030 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3131 of the same, as follows:
3232 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Kenneth M.
3333 2Antanavica, Police Chief of the town of Leicester, may continue to serve in the position of Police
3434 3Chief until April 30, 2027, or until the date of his retirement, non-reappointment, or the date he
3535 4is relieved of his duties by the town, whichever occurs first; provided, however, that he is
3636 5mentally and physically capable of performing the duties of his office. No further deductions
3737 6shall be made from the regular compensation of Kenneth M. Antanavica under Chapter 32 of the
3838 7General Laws for any service subsequent to April 30, 2025, and upon retirement, he shall receive
3939 8a superannuation retirement allowance equal to that which he would have been entitled had he
4040 9retired on that date.
4141 10 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
