3131 An Act authorizing the town of Williamsburg to continue employment of Glen Everett beyond
3232 the age of 65.
3333 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3434 of the same, as follows:
3535 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Glen Everett, a
3636 2member of the fire department of the town of Williamsburg, who would be subject to mandatory
3737 3retirement on the last day of the month in which he turns 65 years old, may continue to serve in
3838 4such a position until 06/25/2029, or until the date of his retirement, or the date he is relieved of
3939 5his duties by the Town, whichever occurs first; provided however, that no deductions shall be
4040 6made from the regular compensation of Glen Everett pursuant to Chapter 32 of the General Laws
4141 7for any service subsequent to him reaching the age of 65 in connection with his service to the
4242 8Town for retirement purposes; provided further, that he is mentally and physically capable of
4343 9performing the duties of his office; provided further, that the Town may at its own expense
4444 10require that Glen Everett be examined by an impartial physician designated by the Town to
4545 11determine such capability; and provided further, that Glen Everett shall, upon retirement, receive 2 of 2
4646 12a superannuation retirement allowance equal to that which he would have been entitled had he
4747 13retired at the age of 65.
4848 14 (b) Notwithstanding section 1, Glen Everett shall be subject to chapter 6E of the General
4949 15Laws and section 96B of chapter 41 of the General Laws for the duration of his employment
5050 16pursuant to this act.
5151 17 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
