2828 An Act authorizing the town of Sherborn to convert a certain liquor license.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, the
3232 2licensing authority of the town of Sherborn may convert 1 license for the sale of wine and malt
3333 3beverages not to be drunk on the premises pursuant to section 15 of said chapter 138 issued to
3434 4Art's Specialties at 11 South Main Street in the town of Sherborn to a license for the sale of all
3535 5alcoholic beverages not to be drunk on the premises pursuant to said section 15 of said chapter
3636 6138 to Art's Specialties at 11 South Main Street in the town of Sherborn. The license shall be
3737 7subject to all of said chapter 138 except said section 17.
3838 8 (b) If the license converted under this section is cancelled, revoked or no longer in use at
3939 9the location of original issuance, it shall be returned physically, with all of the legal rights,
4040 10privileges and restrictions pertaining thereto, to the licensing authority and the licensing 2 of 2
4141 11authority may then grant the license to a new applicant and under the same conditions as
4242 12specified in this act.
4343 13 (c) A license converted under this act shall be converted within 1 year after the effective
4444 14date of this act; provided, however, that a license originally converted within that time period
4545 15may be granted to a new applicant under subsection (b) or (c) any time thereafter.
4646 16 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
