The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act to eliminate the use of the mcas for high school graduation. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Section 1D of chapter 69 of the General Laws, is hereby amended by inserting after the 2word “graduation”, in line 64, the following words:- ; provided, however, that the Massachusetts 3comprehensive assessment system test or other state-developed, standardized test shall not be a 4component of the competency determination.
