An Act further defining a quorum of the Worcester Regional Retirement System Board Advisory
Council.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 34B, Section 19 (g) or
2Chapter 30A, Section 18 of the Massachusetts General Laws or of any other general or special
3law to the contrary or the provisions of any regulation to the contrary, a quorum of the Worcester
4Regional Retirement System Board Advisory Council shall be seventeen (17) members, provided
5that said quorum shall include the Chairman of the Worcester Regional Retirement System
6Board and the Chairman of the Worcester Regional Retirement System Board Advisory Council,
7or, with respect to both bodies, the Acting Chairman in the absence of the Chairman, or in the
8event of the inability of the Chairman to participate in a meeting, or in the event of a vacancy in
9the position of Chairman.
10 (b) For the purposes of this act, "Worcester Regional Retirement System Board" and
11"Worcester Regional Retirement System Board Advisory Council" shall mean those positions as
12defined in Chapter 34B, Section 19 (b) and (g) of the Massachusetts General Laws. 2 of 2
13 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage
