2626 An Act protecting Norwood healthcare access.
2727 Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to
2828 protect access to healthcare , therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary
2929 for the immediate preservation of the public health.
3030 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3131 of the same, as follows:
3232 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law or any provision of chapter 111 of the general
3333 2laws or any regulation promulgated thereunder to the contrary, the department, as defined under
3434 3section 1 of said chapter 111, is hereby authorized and directed to continue, extend, or otherwise
3535 4empower to remain in full force department license number 2114, issued by said department
3636 5November 6, 2022, in order to maintain the provision of health care services, including, but not
3737 6limited to, the provision of chemotherapy, radiation, radiology, and other forms of life-saving
3838 7health care and therapies and studies, that are provided, as of the date of this act, in the towns of
3939 8Norwood and Foxborough in department facilities 21PH, known as Norwood Hospital Cancer
4040 9Center, 22LD, known as Norwood Performance Therapy, 299F, known as Foxboro, and any
4141 10other such facilities operating under said license.
