By Representative Rogers of Norwood, a petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of John H. Rogers 
that the Department of Public Health be authorized and directed to maintain the provision of 
health care services in the towns of Norwood and Foxborough. Public Health.

An Act protecting Norwood healthcare access.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to 
protect access to healthcare , therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary 
for the immediate preservation of the public health.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Notwithstanding any general or special law or any provision of chapter 111 of the general 
2laws or any regulation promulgated thereunder to the contrary, the department, as defined under 
3section 1 of said chapter 111, is hereby authorized and directed to continue, extend, or otherwise 
4empower to remain in full force department license number 2114, issued by said department 
5November 6, 2022, in order to maintain the provision of health care services, including, but not 
6limited to, the provision of chemotherapy, radiation, radiology, and other forms of life-saving 
7health care and therapies and studies, that are provided, as of the date of this act, in the towns of 
8Norwood and Foxborough in department facilities 21PH, known as Norwood Hospital Cancer 
9Center, 22LD, known as Norwood Performance Therapy, 299F, known as Foxboro, and any 
10other such facilities operating under said license.
