2828 An Act directing the City of Boston Police Department to waive the maximum age requirement
2929 for Pierre Charles Darius of Mattapan.
3030 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3131 of the same, as follows:
3232 1 SECTION 1.
3333 2 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, including the provisions of
3434 3Chapter 43 of the Acts of 2007, the City of Boston Police Department shall waive the maximum
3535 4age requirement for the original appointment of police officers for Pierre Charles Darius. If
3636 5Pierre Charles Darius meets all other requirements set forth by the Boston Police Department, he
3737 6shall be eligible to have his name certified for the original appointment to the position of police
3838 7officer.
3939 8 SECTION 2.
4040 9 The provisions of this act are severable, and if any provision, or portion thereof, should
4141 10be held to be unconstitutional or otherwise invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such 2 of 2
4242 11unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions, which remain in full
4343 12force and effect.
4444 13 SECTION 3.
4545 14 This act shall take effect upon its passage.
