| 30 | 30 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 32 | 32 | | 1 SECTION 1. |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 2 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, including the provisions of |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 3Chapter 43 of the Acts of 2007, the City of Boston Police Department shall waive the maximum |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 4age requirement for the original appointment of police officers for Pierre Charles Darius. If |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 5Pierre Charles Darius meets all other requirements set forth by the Boston Police Department, he |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 6shall be eligible to have his name certified for the original appointment to the position of police |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 7officer. |

| 39 | 39 | | 8 SECTION 2. |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 9 The provisions of this act are severable, and if any provision, or portion thereof, should |

| 41 | 41 | | 10be held to be unconstitutional or otherwise invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such 2 of 2 |

| 42 | 42 | | 11unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions, which remain in full |
