2727 An Act to establish de-escalation training in student transportation.
2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2929 of the same, as follows:
3030 1 Section 8A of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition,
3131 2is hereby amended by inserting after the second paragraph the following paragraph:- There shall
3232 3be training relative to de-escalation tactics and techniques approved by the commissioner of
3333 4education required for all school bus operators. If employed, the operator’s employer shall pay
3434 5for the cost of the de-escalation training.
