The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act clarifying insurance liability for foster care providers. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Chapter 119 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 33C the 2following new section:- 3 INSURANCE LIABILITY FOR FOSTER CARE PROVIDERS. 4 Providers of foster care services for children and/or youth contracted by the state’s 5Department of Children and Families shall not be held liable for injury to persons or damage to 6property caused by negligence or other action(s) or inaction(s) of the state or its employees or 7other third parties.
