[Local Approval Received.] [SIMILAR MATTER FILED IN PREVIOUS SESSION SEE SENATE, NO. 2685 OF 2021-2022.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act exempting the town of Brookline from in-person quorums. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. The town of Brookline shall be exempt from the provision of subsection (d) 2of section 20 of chapter 30A of the General Laws requiring that a quorum of a public body, 3including the chair, be present at an in-person meeting location in order for the attorney general 4to authorize remote participation by members of such public body pursuant to said subsection (d) 5of said section 20 of said chapter 30A. 6 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
