2828 An Act regarding the pediatric palliative care program.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1: Section 24K of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
3232 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the following words:- “subject to
3333 3appropriation”.
3434 4 SECTION 2: Section 24K of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
3535 5Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the figure “19” and inserting in place thereof
3636 6the following figure:- “22”.
3737 7 SECTION 3: Section 24K of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
3838 8Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the following words:- "The program
3939 9established by this section shall not give rise to enforceable legal rights in any party or an 2 of 2
4040 10enforceable entitlement to the services described in this section and nothing stated in this section
4141 11shall be construed as giving rise to such enforceable legal rights or such enforceable
4242 12entitlement", and inserting in place thereof the following words:-” All eligible children shall
4343 13have access to these services. The department shall report caseload information and spending
4444 14projections quarterly to the House and Senate Ways and Means Committees”.
