An Act regarding the pediatric palliative care program.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1: Section 24K of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 
2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the following words:- “subject to 
3appropriation”.
4 SECTION 2: Section 24K of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 
5Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the figure “19” and inserting in place thereof 
6the following figure:- “22”.
7 SECTION 3: Section 24K of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 
8Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the following words:- "The program 
9established by this section shall not give rise to enforceable legal rights in any party or an  2 of 2
10enforceable entitlement to the services described in this section and nothing stated in this section 
11shall be construed as giving rise to such enforceable legal rights or such enforceable 
12entitlement", and inserting in place thereof the following words:-” All eligible children shall 
13have access to these services. The department shall report caseload information and spending 
14projections quarterly to the House and Senate Ways and Means Committees”.
