| 30 | 30 | | 1 SECTION 1. Nothwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary the secretary of |

| 31 | 31 | | 2the executive office of public safety and security shall develop a statewide standardization and |

| 32 | 32 | | 3accreditation certification for municipal and state police officers to become drug recognition |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 4experts for the purpose of providing testimony in court proceedings. The secretary shall submit |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 5by December 31, 2024 any legislative recommendations to the clerks of the house and senate, |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 6and the joint committee on public safety and homeland security. |
