An Act relative to drug recognition experts.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Nothwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary the secretary of 
2the executive office of public safety and security shall develop a statewide standardization and 
3accreditation certification for municipal and state police officers to become drug recognition 
4experts for the purpose of providing testimony in court proceedings. The secretary shall submit 
5by December 31, 2024 any legislative recommendations to the clerks of the house and senate, 
6and the joint committee on public safety and homeland security.
