Eldridge for legislation to support access to training on reproductive and gender-affirming care. Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act supporting access to training on reproductive and gender-affirming care. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Section 9A of chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 2Official Edition, is hereby amended, in line 8, by inserting after the word “assigned” the 3following words:- . Exclusively for the purposes of learning reproductive or gender-affirming 4care, a student of medicine who has creditably completed not less than two years of study in a 5legally chartered medical school wherever located may practice medicine in a licensed health 6care facility where reproductive or gender-affirming care may be lawfully provided and under 7the supervision of a health care provider licensed in the commonwealth who, acting within the 8scope of that license, may provide reproductive or gender-affirming care.
