[SIMILAR MATTER FILED IN PREVIOUS SESSION SEE SENATE, NO. 3155 OF 2021-2022.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act relative to pension parity. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 14 or section 18 of chapter 176 of 2the Acts of 2011, or any general or special law to the contrary, the state retirement board shall re- 3calculate, as of the effective date of his retirement, the retirement allowance of Francis J. Doyle, 4a member of the state employees retirement system. This act shall not affect any other retirement 5benefits to which Francis J. Doyle may otherwise be entitled. The state retirement board may 6take any appropriate steps required to complete the re-calculation. 7 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
