An Act exempting the position of Deputy Police Chief in the city of Amesbury from the civil 
service law.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the position of 
2deputy police chief in the police department of the city of Amesbury shall be exempt from 
3chapter 31 of the General Laws.
4 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
