| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 1 SECTION 1. The first sentence of section 2.2 of article II of the charter of the county of |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 2Nantucket is hereby amended by striking out the word “Selectmen,” and inserting in place |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board members. |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4 SECTION 2. Section 2.2 of said article II of said charter is hereby further amended by |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5adding the following clause:- |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6 The select board shall have the full role of and all of the powers and authority of a board |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 7of selectmen under any general or special law and its members and officers shall have the full |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 8role of and all of the powers and authority of the members and officers of a board of selectmen |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 9under any general or special law. |

| 38 | 38 | | 10 SECTION 3. The first paragraph of section 2.3 of said article II of said charter is hereby |

| 39 | 39 | | 11amended by striking out the words “Board of Selectmen,” in each instance in which they appear, |

| 40 | 40 | | 12and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board. 2 of 2 |
