2727 An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Kate Sout-Sorm, an employee of the department of
2828 transitional assistance.
2929 Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to
3030 establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of transitional
3131 assistance, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate
3232 preservation of the public convenience.
3333 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3434 of the same, as follows:
3535 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the department of transitional
3636 2assistance shall establish a sick leave bank for Kate Sout-Sorm, an employee of the department.
3737 3Any employee of the department may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation
3838 4days to the sick leave bank for use by Kate Sout-Sorm. If Kate Sout-Sorm terminates
3939 5employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any remaining time
4040 6in the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank. Sick leave bank
4141 7days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the
4242 8establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the department.
