An Act relative to school safety and security.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 Chapter 71 is hereby amended by adding the following new section:-
2 Section 100. Each school shall conduct a live intruder training session within the first 90
3days of the academic year. The superintendent will work with the principal, teachers and school
4resource officer in each school to schedule and execute said training session. The superintendent,
5principal and school resource officer may alter each training session to reasonably accommodate
6the needs of each student. Notice will be provided to each student’s parent or guardian
7explaining the school’s intention to hold a live intruder training session within the specified time
8frame.
