2525 An Act to reduce methane emissions.
2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2727 of the same, as follows:
2828 1 Section 3 of chapter 21N of the general laws, most recently amended by section 11A of
2929 2chapter 8 of the acts of 2021, is hereby amended by inserting after subsection (h) the following
3030 3subsection:-
3131 4 (i) The secretary shall, in consultation with the department and the department of energy
3232 5resources, adopt the following statewide methane gas emissions limit: 30 per cent below 2020
3333 6levels by 2030.
