An Act to reduce methane emissions.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Section 3 of chapter 21N of the general laws, most recently amended by section 11A of 
2chapter 8 of the acts of 2021, is hereby amended by inserting after subsection (h) the following 
3subsection:-
4 (i) The secretary shall, in consultation with the department and the department of energy 
5resources, adopt the following statewide methane gas emissions limit: 30 per cent below 2020 
6levels by 2030.
