An Act relative to benefits for court officers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Notwithstanding the provisions of any special or general law to the contrary, any court 
2officer regularly and permanently employed by the trial court who transferred from any county 
3sheriff's department on or after January 1, 1998, shall be entitled to have his years of prior 
4service during which he was regularly and permanently employed by that sheriff's department 
5count toward his vacation benefits in the trial court.
