| 28 | 28 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

| 29 | 29 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 30 | 30 | | 1 Section 3 of Chapter 279 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, |

| 31 | 31 | | 2is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 14 and 15, the words “such suspension is revoked, the |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 3sentence shall be in full force and effect” and inserting in place thereof the following:- the |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 4defendant violates a condition of probation, the court may (a) continue him on probation with or |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 5without extending the term or modifying or enlarging the conditions; or (b) revoke the sentence |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 6of probation and commit the defendant to an intermediate sanctions program or impose all or any |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 7portion of the suspended sentence. |
