2727 An Act relative to probation violations.
2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2929 of the same, as follows:
3030 1 Section 3 of Chapter 279 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition,
3131 2is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 14 and 15, the words “such suspension is revoked, the
3232 3sentence shall be in full force and effect” and inserting in place thereof the following:- the
3333 4defendant violates a condition of probation, the court may (a) continue him on probation with or
3434 5without extending the term or modifying or enlarging the conditions; or (b) revoke the sentence
3535 6of probation and commit the defendant to an intermediate sanctions program or impose all or any
3636 7portion of the suspended sentence.
