29 | 29 | | 1 Section 5B of chapter 121B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official |

30 | 30 | | 2Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the fourth paragraph and inserting in place thereof the |

31 | 31 | | 3following paragraph:- |

32 | 32 | | 4 Upon appointment and reappointment or election and reelection, all members shall |

33 | 33 | | 5complete a training program, as developed by the department, within 90 days of assuming the |
---|
34 | 34 | | 6member's position. Members shall complete a training program every 3 to 5 years. Failure to |

35 | 35 | | 7complete a training program within 90 days of assuming a position as a member or failure to |
---|
36 | 36 | | 8complete a training program every 3 to 5 years may constitute neglect of duty and that member |
---|
37 | 37 | | 9may be subject to removal proceedings pursuant to section 6. |
