An Act amending chapter 235 of the acts of 2014.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Section 5B of chapter 121B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official 
2Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the fourth paragraph and inserting in place thereof the 
3following paragraph:-
4 Upon appointment 	and reappointment or election and reelection, all members shall 
5complete a training program, as developed by the department, within 90 days of assuming the 
6member's position. Members shall complete a training program every 3 to 5 years. Failure to 
7complete a training program within 90 days of assuming a position as a member or failure to 
8complete a training program every 3 to 5 years may constitute neglect of duty and that member 
9may be subject to removal proceedings pursuant to section 6.
