An Act relative to judicial compensation.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 22 of chapter 211 is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof 
2the following: -
3 Such compensation shall be increased at the same rate of increase, if any, as the 
4percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Workers for the Northeast Region 
5commencing the first day in July of the year 2025, and every year thereafter
6 SECTION 2. Section 2 of Chapter 211A of the General Laws by adding at the end 
7thereof the following: -
8 Such compensation shall be increased at the same rate of increase, if any, as the 
9percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Workers for the Northeast Region 
10commencing the first day in July of the year 2025, and every year thereafter
11 SECTION 3. Section 4 of Chapter 211B of the General Laws is hereby amended by 
12adding at the end thereof the following: - 2 of 2
13 Such compensation shall be increased at the same rate of increase, if any, as the 
14percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Workers for the Northeast Region 
15commencing the first day in July of the year 2025, and every year thereafter
16 SECTION 4. Chapter 32 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after 
17Section 65J the following section: -
18 Section 65k. All justices of the supreme judicial court, appeals court and the several 
19departments of the trial court, who have reached the mandatory retirement age of 70 under the 
20Massachusetts Constitution, Part II, c.3 article 1, as amended by the Article 98 of the 
21Amendments, shall be entitled to an adjustment to their annual pension; and said pension shall be 
22increased at the same rate of increase, if any, as the percentage change in the Consumer Price 
23Index for Urban Workers for the Northeast Region commencing on July 1, 2025, and every year 
24thereafter.
